I am a third-year Barrett Honors student majoring in Biological Sciences. Originally from Los Angeles, California, I came to ASU to serve as a member of the university’s Next Generation Service Corps (NGSC). After working as a Teaching Assistant for the NGSC Community Impact Lab, I became interested in the relationships between college professors and their students, and how these connections impact academic dishonesty as well as learning outcomes. Through Project Gen Z, I hope to create meaningful, usable resources that assist college educators in connecting their students with the curriculum. Outside of academics, I enjoy visiting my family in California whenever possible, playing video games, traveling, and swimming for fitness. My primary focus is a future career in medicine that is patient-centered. I have interned at Banner Health in the Emergency Department and also work as an intern for a husband-and-wife team, a cardiologist and an anesthesiologist in Scottsdale. I plan to apply to medical school next year with the career goal of working in anesthesiology.
