I am a senior here at ASU, majoring in Medical Studies and minoring in Psychology. After serving in a few teaching-related roles, I realized that I’m very passionate about teaching and teaching effectively. So moving on from a background in autism and addiction neuroscience research, my present goal is to find the most effective teaching methods and promote their use across ASU and beyond. I’m especially interested in addressing gaps faced by unique or disadvantaged students; as a tutor for juvenile inmates, I see such a need for further study into how we can meet students where they are- not just students at the extremes, but all students. Outside the classroom at ASU, you can find me leading our university’s HOSA chapter, a club for everyone interested in the medical field. I’ve also worked across healthcare in a few places as a medical assistant and as a behavioral health technician. Outside these roles, you can find me cooking, playing guitar, watching MMA, or at a metal concert. My career goal is to be a physician educator, and I’ll be applying for medical school next cycle.
