Aliya Khan is a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering and is part of the Grand Challenges Scholars Program (GCSP). In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and sewing. She is interested in how generative AI can be used to reshape learning as a helpful aid rather than a complete replacement for studying. She hopes to explore a more balanced approach in using these emerging technologies to enhance student engagement and critical thinking, without inhibiting learning. Through Project GenZ, she hopes to find ways students can use these tools responsibly to boost their understanding without the harmful effects of cheating and compromising academic integrity. She also wants to look at how AI can be designed to fit individual student needs and improve how students learn in the classroom.
