Hello! My name is Mena Abdullah and I am currently a junior majoring in Biomedical Sciences with an Arabic Certificate. I was born in Iraq and came to Arizona as a refugee. As both a first generation student and a refugee, I have become really interested in further investigating the role of higher education in refugees’ experiences and the resources available to them to set them up for success. I hope to apply my passions further in the field of medicine. Outside of academia I enjoy working out, playing volleyball, practicing henna designs, and spending time with family.
