Bio: I am a queer, able-bodied (ish) person of the global majority. I enjoy reading, video games, and television, typically with a science fiction or fantasy theme. I also enjoy amateur nature photography and collage art projects. I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and went to school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (University of Pittsburgh). I then completed two postdoctoral fellowships in Tennessee (Vanderbilt University and University of Memphis) before landing at Arizona State University. This is my favorite weather by far. My overarching goal is to have a lasting and positive impact on educational systems (including technology, teaching, and learning) for diverse learners. I never expected to be an educational psychologist working in a school of engineering, but it has been great.

Research: My research brings together learning science, computer science, user science, and equity science to implement and evaluate educational technologies for diverse learners. I also explore how people-centered principles of inclusion and equity can be infused into engineering education and engineering cultures.
