Teona Savic earned first place in Biology Education at the SOLS Undergraduate Research Symposium at Arizona State University for her research, “The Impact of Disability Characteristics & Type on Student College Experiences.” Her national survey of undergraduate students with disabilities highlights how factors like severity, duration, and visibility of disability shape experiences such as belonging, stigma, and access to support. This work advances understanding of inclusive education and offers meaningful insights for improving campus environments for students with disabilities.
